Depending on your level of working, 6pt is more precise and thicker wall so can last longer. 12pt even if it is not perfect fit, it can still turn the bolt so in a way easier to use but only suggested for light use.

Why Impact Socket is more expensive than Hand Socket, but they all same size?

Impact Socket use more expensive material (CR-MO) thicker wall and different plating to with stand heavy duty use, hand socket use (CR-V) material and generally thinner in wall size. If you use Hand Socket on impact wrench, hand socket will tear and cause hazard to yourself and others.
